1. Ask us to delete your account
This applies to the MyClassUp app and to your institute’s MyClassUp web address. Email us from the address you sign in with. If you sign in with a mobile number, write from any email and include that number.
Include your full name, the mobile number or email you sign in with, and your institute’s name. To protect your account, we send a one-time code to that number or email and ask you to tell it to us before we delete anything.
2. Students and parents
Leaving one institute: ask the institute to remove you. You lose access to that institute straight away, and any other institutes you belong to are not affected.
Deleting your whole account: send us the request above. A parent or guardian can ask for a child’s account to be deleted in the same way.
3. Institute owners
Deleting an owner’s account closes the institute. Write to us from the owner’s registered contact. We confirm with you first, and you can export your institute’s data for 30 days before everything is deleted. See the refund and cancellation policy for what happens to a paid plan.
4. What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted within 30 days: your sign-in account, name, mobile number, email, notification tokens, and your links to every institute. Copies in our backups are overwritten within a further 90 days.
Kept by your institute: an institute may need to keep academic records, such as marks and results, for its own records or by law. These stay with the institute, no longer linked to a MyClassUp account. Ask the institute if you want them removed too.
Kept by us only where the law requires: such as invoices for a paid plan, or security logs needed to look into misuse. These are deleted once the law no longer needs them.
5. How long it takes
We reply within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it is you. We email you when it is done. For more on your rights, see our privacy policy.
